Non-Board Member Present: Lynn Murrell (Advanced Team Registrar)

Referee issue and waived fees for Advance Assistant Coaches wer added to the
agenda. Dean made the motion to
approve agenda as amended; John seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Review and approve LAYSL Board
meeting minutes:
No minutes were presented.
Past President:
Dean suggested that we
give away LAYSL Springfest t-shirts at walk-in registration. The board agreed. The board also decided to give advanced
team coaches and assistant coaches embroidered LAYSL t-shirts for the 2006-07
season.
President:
Wolfgang asked if any board member was interested in attending the NMYSA AGM. It is a good place to meet other soccer league representatives. The agenda for this yearÕs AGM had not been published yet by NMYSA and without an agenda the board did not see any benefit from attending the AGM.
Risk Manager / Vice President:
Nothing to report
Treasurer:
The financial report as of April 30, 2006 was distributed. The total deficit for the fiscal year 2005/06 was larger than budgeted because of lower competitive fee income. The financial report as of 6-5-06 was also distributed. After some discussion, Wolfgang moved to approve the financial reports and Armand seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Recreational Team Coordinator:
Registrar issues were discussed
Deadlines need to be addressed with the registrar

Equipment Coordinator:

Field Coordinator:
The field conditions were discussed
Dean might become a member of the Athletic Fields Advisory Sub-Committee.
There have been some discussion on getting one artificial turf field with lights both in Los Alamos and White Rock and the county seems perceptive to the idea.
Training Coordinator:

Publicity / Website Coordinator:

All issues have been closed.
The board discussed the issues with Laser 94 and that it was not the boardÕs philosophy to only promote parent coaches as mentioned in the e-mail sent to the parents of Laser 94 by their coach Phil Stroud.
The advanced team coaches for 2006-07 were presented and approved by the board.
We will have 5 boys and 3 girls team registered for fall 2006 in Duke City.
The board discussed dual rostering between competitive and recreational teams and the board decided not to discourage it.
The board discussed combing teams in the U-12 to U-14 boys age brackets and it was decided that we would encourage separate U-12, U-13 and U-14 teams.
Wolfgang would contact Northern to see if they would allow LAYSL teams to play in the Mountain League.
The board discussed developing the recreational league to help improve our competitive teams in the future.
The board approved paying the referees for the Fun in the Sun scrimmages/tournament.
Todd HainesÕ e-mail was distributed and the board decided to waive the registration fees for assistant coaches with the requirement that the assistant coach for competitive teams has at least an ÒEÓ license , the assistant recreational coach has at least a Youth Module ÒIÓ diploma for under U-10 or ÒIIÓ diploma for U-10 or over. Also, there can only be 1 assistant coach per team.
T-shirts for the all players were discussed and Amy will check with Santa Fe Sports and Images on the cost of color logos.
