Registration forms for the Competitive and Recreational Programs are all located online in the Forms area of the website, located either to the right or under the Registration link. The forms are different for the different programs. Please ensure that you complete the correct forms. Here is a description of each registration process:

Registration for the 2010-11 full seasonal year is open to all children born between 1 August 1990 and 31 July 2005. Registrations for the full seasonal year postmarked after July 23rd will be accepted on a space-available basis. (Spring-only 2011 registration starts from about Nov 15 and runs until about mid Feb) Registration materials are available at both the Los Alamos and White Rock branches of Mesa Public Library. If you have questions about which age group to register your child, see the age groups table.
Remember we are always looking for volunteers to make this league a success. With about 650 children registered, it takes a lot of effort to bring everything together. A shortage of referees and coaches makes it very hard to keep everyone happy. If you want your child to have a fun-filled soccer season, please think about volunteering your time. Training is provided.

Registration for the Competitive Program teams can ONLY be done during tryouts. 2009-10 tryouts for LAYSL competitive teams U-11 through U-14 are scheduled and can be found under the Advanced button of the LAYSL website. Supplemental tryouts are held in November for the Spring for the older age groups. See the Competitive Program page for specific dates, and check the Los Alamos Monitor or the website for specific times and field locations for your age groups. Currently, boys and girls with birth dates between from U11 to U14 are eligible to try out. See the age groups table for the age groups.
Fall practice starts in mid-August with league games running from the beginning of September through October. Spring practice starts in mid-February with league games running from the beginning of March through April. Tournaments are played throughout the year and can extend the season in either direction. All Competitive Program forms, documentation, and fees were due to the coach as dictated in the instructions found to the left, or under the Forms section of the registration menu above. This includes:
- LAYSL registration form
- NMYSA registration form
- LAYSL Medical Release form
- Competitive Commitment Agreement
- Photo copy of birth certificate
- Current picture - 1"x1" face shot
- Check for $250.00 made payable to LAYSL
Late fee for incomplete paperwork or missing forms is $50.00.
If your player is planning to "dual roster" in order to participate on both an Competitive Program team and a Recreational Program team, a complete set of registrations materials must be submitted for each program (only the competitive program fee is to be paid).
If your child is not selected for an Competitive Program team, you can sign your child up for the Recreational Program. Recreational Program registration forms are available above under the Recreation Program menu.
